Ann is the character the reader follows in the thirteenth chapter of my in-progress novel, and starts off the day of Midwinter for the rest of the House, with her fourteenth birthday.

It's not always easy to have a birthday on a holiday, but to Ann it probably adds an even more special accent to her day. Not only does she get to be celebrated, receive presents, and have a delicious Yule dinner in the evening, but she also gets to look forward to the day after Midwinter, where everyone gets presents as well.

Like with many other children, the anticipation of a supernatural entity either bringing presents or coal never really leaves, and Ann is no exception. Waking up early, like a giddy, little burst of excitement, is a thing for all ages after all, when you know Odin is flying across the sky with his Wild Hunt.

To me, Ann is absolutely adorable who practically breaths holiday spirit and enthusiasm. Although, if you haven't had your morning coffee yet, you'd probably get disorientated by all the sparkles.

Goodbye lovelies!
